A former nightclub in Cookstown, Ireland, is set to have a new life as a family entertainment centre. Mid Ulster District Council has signed off on proposals to convert the former Clubland nightclub into an entertainment location that will feature virtual reality, bowling and mini-golf, according to The Irish News. Virtual reality attractions will include VR dragon rider, a VR treadmill attraction and a VR moto ride, according to the application, while there will also be a three-screen racing simulator. According to plans submitted to the council, the venue will operate on a pre-booking system, with birthday party options, as well as offer an arcade to extended guest dwell time. The venue’s social media pages state that work is now underway on converting the 17,000sq.ft building into a fully-fledged family entertainment centre.
