A wet and wild water park in Blackpool is preparing to open for the 2025 season. More than 20,000 visitors donned wet suits in 2024 at Wild Shore in Blackpool and enjoyed experiences including wakeboarding, a state-of-the-art aqua park, stand-up paddle boarding, ringo, and open water swimming. The site, based at Ream Hills Caravan Park near Weeton, will open for the 2025 from Friday, April 4. This year Wild Shore Blackpool is introducing its first-ever wakeboarding competition, due to be held in August.

Additionally, the brand-new Ladies’ Night will offer a female-led evening filled with activities, food, and fundraising. The site will also be adding a UNIT box rail to its newly laid-out cable park as well as eventually adding a second, obstacle-free cable, providing the perfect space for beginner and intermediate riders to refine their surface skills with greater ease.

Katrina Maguire, operational manager at Wild Shore Blackpool, shared her excitement for the season ahead, saying: “We are excited to kick off the 2025 season at Wild Shore Blackpool. This year, we’re bringing even more excitement to the water, with our first-ever wakeboarding competition planned for the end of August, alongside regular Jam Night Socials to build a strong community of riders.

“We’re also proud to introduce our first Ladies’ Night - a special evening for women to come together, try all our activities, and enjoy a fantastic atmosphere, led by our female staff. Plus, we’re expanding our Learn 2 SUP lessons to meet demand, offering more opportunities for beginners and enthusiasts alike to get out on the water.”

James Barbour, director of Wild Shore, added: “Our goal is to create unforgettable experiences for all, and we can’t wait to see people of all ages enjoying the fun of Wild Shore once again. With over 20,000 visitors last year, Wild Shore Blackpool is gearing up for an even bigger and more action-packed season in 2025.”
