Williston Water World is scheduled to open next month. Since the groundbreaking took place in 2023, the question has been, when can residents enjoy Williston Water World? Parks and Recreation Executive Director Joe Barsh said they plan on opening on Tuesday, July 15.

“We’re expecting high-capacity turnouts for those first few weeks if not throughout the whole season,” said Barsh.

Crews are putting the final touches on the main features, including the lazy river, slides and the lap pool. Barsh said there will also be plenty of space for people who want to enjoy the poolside.

“We’ll have a sun shelf where you’ll have lounge chairs about two feet submerged in water, where you get what I call the resort treatment, where you’re laying in the lounge chair and get your tan on,” said Barsh.

Barsh was not around when the Eckert Youth Pool was open, but he said he understands the impact of having an outdoor pool. “I know where we live, work and play is an interesting climate for outdoor aquatics, but I think that makes it more important,” said Barsh.

This summer, it will only cost people 21 and younger $3 to get in daily. Adults between 22 and 59 will pay $8. Barsh said if you have a membership to the Williston ARC already, you can enjoy Williston Water World for free this year. The water park will remain open through Aug. 24. Barsh said the indoor water park at the ARC will be closed when Water World is open.
