According to previously disclosed information, Asia’s first outdoor Peppa Pig theme park project will be located on Changxing Island in Chongming District, Shanghai. With an investment exceeding 2.4 billion yuan, the park is slated to open in 2027.

Currently in the conceptual design phase, the Shanghai Peppa Pig Outdoor Theme Park will occupy about 193333.33 square meters (290 mu) and comprise three major components: an outdoor theme park, a themed hotel, and a commercial street. The theme park itself is preliminarily planned to feature five themed play areas, including an "Ocean Zone" and a "Snow & Ice Zone."

A signature landmark will be the Peppa Pig-themed Ferris wheel. Additionally, the beloved animated scene of "jump in muddy puddles" will be reimagined in an unprecedented interactive format. Beyond recreating Peppa Pig’s animated universe, the park will leverage Changxing Island’s geographical features to offer diverse outdoor activities, while seamlessly integrating Chinese cultural motifs and Shanghai-style elements.

Complementing the attractions, the development will include a themed hotel and integrate multiple offerings such as live entertainment, accommodations, dining, and retail. Operating under a model of "internationally acclaimed IP + creative content empowerment + full industrial chain," the project aims to create an immersive family entertainment destination, promising to deliver unique interactive experiences for visitors.
